Welcome to The Outpost. Today I’m taking a look at a Joe vehicle I feel is under appreciated. The 1992 G.I.Joe Barracuda. This is a mini sub, but is a really cool small vehicle. I remember seeing a 3-3/4 style sub at ToysRus back around 2010 that was a cool vehicle and I thought this would have been a cool Joe vehicle. However the mini Barracuda is a cool small sub that packs a nice punch. This holds one figure so you might need a few to make an effective attack on Cobra. The color scheme is sharp and I think this would have been fun to have back in the day. There is a compartment inside that had some sort of baking soda packets that would make the sub dive, I’m not sure mine is missing the cap to the compartment so I couldn’t try it out. I’m not sure I would in fear of water damage though. I like the compactness of this sub because it still has some cool details. You can also display it without it taking over a room. Overall this is a really cool vehicle and I’m happy I have this one in my collection. The commercial shows the Barracuda battling the Cobra Rat. Probably one of the least favorite vehicles but the commercial makes it look really cool. Maybe that will be for n cut week. Make sure to check back next week for the next chapter at The Outpost.
