Superman: “Crime Paradise!” Written by Jerry Siegel, with pencils by Win Mortimer and inks by George Roussos, this story features Superman tackling crime in Metropolis. The antagonist of the story is Specs Dour, a gang chief who Superman must confront. Supporting characters include Lois Lane and other citizens of Metropolis. The story is set in various locations around Metropolis, including the beach and the hospital, and involves a political figure named Craig Dennison and a victim-millionaire P.J. Moran. The plot revolves around Superman’s efforts to dismantle a criminal paradise that has been thriving under Specs Dour’s leadership.

Congo Bill: “Devilfish’s Domain!” Congo Bill’s adventure, written by Alvin Schwartz with art by Edwin J. Smalle, Jr., takes place in The Bahamas. The story features Congo Bill alongside Malcolm Fitch, an ichthyologist. They face antagonists Fred Miller and Joe Roeding, Fitch’s assistants, who pose a threat to their expedition. The narrative includes an encounter with a specimen known as Octopus Punctatusm.

Vigilante: “When East Goes West!” This Vigilante story, penned by Joseph Samachson with art by Mort Meskin and George Roussos, is set in a “Modern Metropolis of the Tame East” and the All-Star Rodeo. The Vigilante, also known as Greg Sanders, and his sidekick Stuff, the Chinatown Kid, deal with a press agent named Carstairs. The story involves action at the rodeo and the Great Multiboro Bridge.

Zatara: “The Man Who Didn’t Dare!” The final story in the issue features the magician Zatara. The story involves Zatara helping Henry Peck, a henpecked fellow, and dealing with bank robbers. The art for this story is provided by William White.
