On to the issue
We begin Issue 303 with events unfolding, following issue 302 and still reeling from the aftermath of the explosion of the bio-weapon deployed in 301.
Duke and others at Joe HQ are intercepting Cobra communications. Our good friend Dial-Tone has the intel:
Revanche AI is on their way to Cobra Island to make a deal.
Revanche is an AI that has constructed and inhabited android/robot bodies of various shapes and sizes. The queen appears to be a gigantic caterpillar like creature. But there are blue ninjas, and other formations as well.
Serpentor Khan asks for a test of Blue Ninjas that have been upgraded by a GALEN 2000 self-contained Surgical Bot. Serpentor wants a test versus an enhanced B.A.T.
It ends up pretty grisly.
Later Serpentor asks for a volunteer to be enhanced by the Surgical Bot. A zombie mutant Viper volunteers and there are some more disturbing scenes of transformation within the device.
Serpentor Khan and Mindbender make a deal with the evil Revanche AI. An enhanced hit squad is then deployed on a mission.
They are sent to take out our favorite couple, living in peace in a cabin in the High Sierras. And their little dog, too.
There is a terrible battle at Snake-Eyes cabin with the enhanced Blue Ninjas.
And the issue ends with a haunting image sent from the camera of the assassin automaton before it self destructed.
