3-3/4 inch Fisher Price Adventure Team
Hello everyone. I’m Train and today I’m going off the rails with Fisher Price 3-3/4 figures. Before GI Joe, before Star Wars, even before Mego, Fisher Price made the adventure team figures, vehicles, and playsets. I had a few of these sets. I remember a boat, helicopter, and a tv/news van. One of my all time favs is the dirt bike. In the picture, are figures I have. I have a couple more buried someplace but the 3 very played with in the middle are ones I had as a kid. Even though there is not a lot of articulation, there was some pretty nice sculpting for the time. These were always so much fun and would lead me to wanting the Chips figures really bad, and eventually my love for GI Joe. Who else had these growing up? What was your favorite? Make sure to check back for more stories and reviews and stay on the rails right here with the crazy Train.

I had a firefighter with a blue suit and red helmet. His left hand was exactly like the ones in the photo. I never knew where I got him or even remember getting him but he was always with my Star Wars figures and he got a lot of play time as well.

My brother had the blue guy with the headset. He was our poor man's Tele-Viper, lol.

That's the figure I had as well! I actually think I still have him but gave him to my sons years ago. He may be floating around in my youngest son's toy box. Now I need to go look through it at some point.yorktownjoe wrote: ↑Sat Sep 09, 2023 1:58 am I know I posted some Fisher Price here.at.one point, but I have no idea where those pics are now.

I know those Fisher Price things are still at my parents house. My Mom kept them so Grandkids would always have something fun to do.
And other kids of her younger friends have enjoyed them as well.
They are sturdily built toys.

I think that was the only one of those figures I had, not even sure my younger brother had any of them. I didn't realize they had vehicles with them as well.

Right you are!
That orange jeep transported Joe's who couldn't fit on the VAMP into battle. We used to strap random tubes on top (where the canoe strap was) for cannons or rocket launchers.
Good times!
And the nylon parachute exceeded anything Hasbro has produced. (Maybe the Sigma 6 paratrooper Duke could join that conversation.) But the cords got tangled less than any of Hasbro's...

Re: 3-3/4 inch Fisher Price Adventure Team
Dad is 80 and check all the boxes for that age group.

He is well loved, can't hear out of one ear, and tries a little too hard with the Dad jokes. And he was "in country" around the same time as Stalker, Snake-Eyes, and Storm Shadow.
Thankfully, he was Army Reserves, so he said most of their action was running supplies up and down the Mekong. His unit was known as "Granddad's Gators" since they were deployed out of Florida (and maybe because of the armored supply boats they ran).
Most important of all: Every one of the men he deployed with made it back Stateside alive.
