This is a good story arc, but it made me wonder if this was Cobra Commander going deeper into paranoia and jealousy, or if this was truly another Fred who was secretly voted Commander.

I think this is the start of Cobra Commanders lunacy, well It kind of started when he put all his detractors in the freighter, but after that was accomplished he turned his attention to eliminating Destro, which he was not able to accomplish until really close to the end of the run when he implanted Destro with a mind control device.

Things got a bit zany around then, but they still trusted Larry to weave a story to keep us interested while introducing new toys.
